The SmartScoot™ Mobility Scooter Helps Jack Stay Up to Speed!
Cruise ships can present many obstacles to travelers with limited mobility who utilize a mobility scooter – including narrow doorways, tight corners, rough terrain on excursions, and more. However, the SmartScoot travel scooter makes it a cinch to board the ship, navigate the tight hallways and cabin doorways, and go on excursions thanks to its tight turning radius and adjustable rear-wheel width. Its foldable, lightweight design also allows travelers to walk their SmartScoot off the gangplank during port excursions.
Jack, a SmartScoot customer, and his wife Susan were able to share their SmartScoot experience with us from their latest cruise. Susan said:
“We took Jack’s SmartScoot on a cruise to Alaska last week. With a regular room, it fit through the door! I lost 2 pounds keeping up with him as he zipped along with our ship and out exploring!”
In addition to traveling, SmartScoot was designed to help those with limited mobility throughout their daily lives. Whether it be running errands or visiting a state fair, features like the adjustable top speed and full weight capacity can help you keep up with loved ones and even fellow SmartScoot owners! Jack shared with us a video from his recent trip to the California State Fair:
“I love my SmartScoot, lightweight, compact and high performance all in one. I went to the California State Fair and ran across another very satisfied SmartScoot owner. We talked for a while and he challenged me to a race. Being the ‘competitive’ type, I accepted the challenge!
Right in the demonstration building we had it out! We both had 3 of 4 LEDs of battery and we both looked about the same size. That’s me in the orange shirt with the big smile! I won by a Smartscoot length. What an awesome ride.”
